East Friesland Meadow Sage
Salvia nemorosa ‘East Friesland’
- Size: 1’-1.5’ Tall and 1’-2’
- Growth Habit: clumping, upright flower spikes
- Growth Rate: Moderate
- Light Requirements: Sun
- Soil Requirements: Adaptable
- Appeal: East Friesland Meadow Sage has brightly colored violet/blue flower blooms on top of its deep purple flower stalks that rise above its foliage base. The foliage base remains closer to the ground in clumps as many vertical, upright flower spikes emerge throughout late spring into summer. East Friesland Meadow Sage looks nice along borders in mass plantings or spaced out sporadically in the garden to add a pop of violet color and vertical lines to draw your eye.
