Greater Morristown YMCA
The design for this modern model required a palette of low-maintenance, deer-resistant and drought-tolerant shrubs and low grasses that would not obscure/overpower the new glass facade. This strategy complements the architecture and also provides multiple seasons of interest with varying flower times and winter beauty from the evergreen Junipers and striking contrast from the red stems of the Blood Twig Dogwood. The new main entrance also is flanked with rain garden shrubs to help buffer water from the downspouts of the Portico and to provide additional seasonal interest.
