- Appeal: Goldflame Spirea is a densely branched deciduous shrub with a mounding habit of growth. Its new foliage emerges slightly reddish and matures to yellow/green color. In fall the foliage becomes orange/red. Goldflame will develop rosy pink to red flowers in late spring or summer. This shrub provides bright color in the landscape and is a nice contrast against other plants
