- Soil Requirements: Prefers acidic, organically rich, moist but well-drained soils.
- Appeal: The Pagoda Dogwood cultivar is distinguished by its alternate leaves and white small clusters of flowers that bloom in late spring. It has a display of tiered horizontal branches reminiscent of pagoda architecture. It will develop blue or black fruits in late summer months. The leaves will turn a burgundy red color with tints of yellow in the fall before dropping its leaves for winter. Deer resistant and tolerant to juglone.
